Sundays are usually (are supposed to be) our family day, where we go and do fun things as a family. We've kind of fallen out of that habit lately and wanted to restart it. Earlier today a fellow named Enrique stopped by the house.  He's been here before to ask about the old Honda.  While I was standing just inside the screen door talking to Enrique, Matthew wanted to go to his sandbox.  I told him no, he couldn't go outside in his pajamas (we were having a lazy day).   He went back into the main part of the house.

First day of summer school for Matthew. Judging from the comments I heard while I was showering, he wasn't too pleased about it. I think he's gotten used to sleeping a little later in the morning and mom had to wake him up a bit earlier. Thursday or so Mom (grandma) had called telling us about this huge farmer's market in Coventry. We'd known there was a farmer's market there but had no idea it was so large. Day started early due to a server problem at work, so I had to go in an hour early. Though Matthew had come to bed with us, he had gone back to sleep and slept through my shower. Fortunately he woke up in time to see me off and wave at the window, as he often becomes very upset when he misses me leaving. We wanted this to be a good day for him

 I took the day off Monday so I could go to the Children's Museum in West Hartford With Joanne and the boy. Yea! The C.M. has a lot of nostaligic memories for our favorite mommy, who went there often as a child, though as she says "it's changed a lot since then ( Read more... )

Whew. Bit of a long day for me. It's been a while since my allergies hit me this bad, as this season. Usually I need only a few half-pills of claratin on the worst days and I'm fine. Weekends these days are mostly outside chores, trying to have as much fun with Matthew as we can. Friday he and I worked  on cutting a new woods trail diwn the east side of our property.
