The Cabin in the Woods

Kapcon 21: Requiescat in pace
Kapcon is done for another year and this was the hardest one yet for me. Writing the flagship LARP for 77 players was a mammoth task, and only other people who have worked on a similar sized game can really appreciate just how much work it really takes. Telecommunications Complications
We changed to Compass Communications at the start of October so we could drop our phone line and go with naked DSL. We've had continual trouble and the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
We're now dropping them and I suggest anyone wishing to avoid the frustration we experienced should avoid them at all costs. -
Wangst
Jenni is running The Silver Kiss of the Magical Twilight of the Full Moon: The LARP again on Saturday 6 August. The game is a parody of the teen supernatural romance genre and by all accounts the first run back in April was a lot of fun.

iPad OS Update
The latest OS update for the update has restored the screen lock functionality of the side switch. It's just a little thing but very handy, I'm glad it's back.
When Apple swapped it to a mute button a couple a months back I was pretty annoyed. It was such a nonsensical change as you could mute by simply holding the volume down for about a second -

In the Super Reception LARP my character Jack Reynolds was a superhero empowered by the Thunderbird, a Native American spirit of tremendous power. The character was basically Superman, possessing incredible power but guided by a strong moral compass.
