I have to compile a scrapbook of articles about Historic Preservation for the Historic Preservation class I'm taken and I just stumbled across this story. Sounds like someone serving as an apprentice at The Onion who's trying to understtand what funny is....maybe this isn't funny, but it's not far off......at least the headline...

My sister-in-law gave birth to a 8 lb. 9 oz. baby at 9:36 p.m. yesterday up in Oregon. Jonathan is the little guy's name. Can't wait to get up there and see my bro and Inez and the baby...purdy cool.

How is it possible to waste sooooooooo much time on the Internet? I must have been really productive before 1994 (when I got on the Net, and not coincidentally, my grades took a dive).
