Rogue still couldn't quite believe it. Skids was just gone. Didn't say a word, nothing. Just took the snowmobile and never returned. She was intent on ignoring Toad's and Avalanche's negative remarks. Skids was just a kid, so was Av, but she never really thought the girl wanted to be there. She just wanted a family. Erik looked up as Rogue entered. "I am seriously considering disbanding the Brotherhood of Mutants and moving to Las Vegas. There, I will open up a Vegas show manipulating metal into shapes to wow the crowd of witless humans. I will put you in a dress and you will be my assistant. And then you will touch the hapless volunteers and shock them with your power. We'll be millionaires."

He took off his reading glasses and threw them on the desk in disgust. "I might be more successful at that than mutant liberation. Perhaps I could keep the cast together."

He gazed at her with a hawklike expression. "I can see the wheels turning in your brain, Anna. And one of the reasons I love you is for that mind of yours, but just don't tell me if you find yourself stashing that angry young woman in your mother's house in Paris. Just keep it to yourself. Morale is low enough as it is. Now, we're moving. Do you have suggestions?"

Rogue smiled, taking his hand and pulling him towards her. "Somewhere warm. Say it with me, Erik. Warm. No snow. No scarves or anythin' like that. Warm."

"Warm. An island. Off of Texas. Nice warm breeze, a beach. Private. We'll go swimming." He put an arm arm her waist. "I'm as ready to get out of this snowbank as you are. We'll be moving tomorrow at 0800 hours. Make sure everyone knows."

"Sounds perfect." Rogue grinned, leaning up to kiss him. "I'll let the others know an' you need ta let them know we ain't hurtin' her."

She pushed herself away from him. "I need ta go an' pack up Py's room an' Finn's stuff an' then we'll be all set. Our room is already done."

She winked at him and left the room, hoping that wherever Skids was that she was okay.
