Rogue still couldn't quite believe it. Skids was just gone. Didn't say a word, nothing. Just took the snowmobile and never returned. She was intent on ignoring Toad's and Avalanche's negative remarks. Skids was just a kid, so was Av, but she never really thought the girl wanted to be there. She just wanted a family. Something Rogue understood all too well.
They couldn't stay here anymore--not that she thought Skids would betray them but they couldn't take that chance.
She headed towards the study, pretty sure Erik would be there trying to make arrangements. Maybe he'd be a little more level headed about the situation. At least she hoped so.
