Call it some silly musing, Luceti, but I'm curious. What do you people do when you need to find hope? Regardless of whatever reason you seem to have lost hope in the first place - this place alone has a lot of reasons - how did you get it back? Are you even able to do it?

As long as you are still alive, there is always hope. I just don't think about the past and keep moving forward as best as I can.

Moving forward is the obvious choice, but isn't the past still important?

It is, but worrying over what you can't change will only hinder the ability to move forward.

So you'd rather just get rid of the dead weight?

[...Well, you done and went and got this guy's hot-blooded hero side pumping.]

Heh, there's a lot of ways to find hope. Your friends, your family, yourself, the very world around you. Remembering everything that matters to you. And even when it doesn't seem like there's anything left worth fighting for, sometimes... sometimes just having the will to overcome is all you need to have hope.

[She does have a soft spot for the heroic side of things.]

So you would say the way to keep hope is to, at the very least, have the will never to let it go?

Exactly! And if you lose hope, all you have to do is remind yourself of everything that's worthwhile. If you can't think of anything worthwhile, you need to make something worthwhile, even if it's just hope for your own future.

Things are never hopeless unless everyone refuses to stand up and do something. And there will always be that one person who will, no matter how bad things get!

[...The optimism. It burns like a goddamn sun.]

[Yes, it really does.]

Sounds like you've got a winning plan for keeping hope around. I like that answer.

Thinking about what?

About it. That. Whatever. The problems at hand. There's plenty of other things to do or think about that mulling over whatever makes you lose "hope."

I like to ask the tough ones.

Do you have a personal answer to this particular one, or did you ask because you didn't?

I'm getting a better idea of the answers before deciding whether I should stick to my own conclusion.

I don't know.

Before I came here... a friend helped me.

It's not easy, is it?

What kind of friend?

[What does that question even mean?] Just... a friend.

[Sorry, been kind of out of it the past few days.] Trying to find hope.
