Call it some silly musing, Luceti, but I'm curious. What do you people do when you need to find hope? Regardless of whatever reason you seem to have lost hope in the first place - this place alone has a lot of reasons - how did you get it back? Are you even able to do it?

As long as you are still alive, there is always hope. I just don't think about the past and keep moving forward as best as I can.

Moving forward is the obvious choice, but isn't the past still important?

It is, but worrying over what you can't change will only hinder the ability to move forward.

So you'd rather just get rid of the dead weight?

It's better than losing hope, right? It's a lot easier to lose hope if you focus on what you can't do anything about, rather than what you can do.

That's why I think we always have hope as long as we are still alive. As long as you live, there is something you can do, no matter how small it is.

Perhaps it is. Maybe the future is worth more, simply because we don't know what it might be.

You're probably right, but even just having a little hope means trying to find the direction to take it in.

I think you got the right idea there. We don't know what the future might be, but we can choose what we do to try and make a good future.

And knowing we've done our best to make a new future, that hope can be put to further good use.

I think you got the idea. Just a matter of finding even a tiny bit of hope so we can make things better. Not easy in a place like this, but it isn't impossible.
