Vampire Diaries Big Bang 2011 - Art Post
This year's Vampire Diaries Big Bang (tvd_bigbang) was kind of a last-minute decision after my Merlin Big Bang participation fell through. And boy am I glad I signed up! waltzmatildah was a wonderful author to work with. I don't think I've collaborated this closely with another author I didn't know before. It was tons of fun and I really like the result.
The story is very much worth reading! It's right up my alley: dark and broken and you can tell me later whether you consider the ending happy or not. *g* She has an unconventional style, especially concerning POV, but I very much hope you're not going to be deterred by that. It's absolutely worth it. The story is wonderfully visceral, putting a finger in everyone's wounds. And did I mention it's perfect? :D

Along the way, Damon and Elena battle desperately, not only against archrival Klaus, but also against their own personal failings, their respective relationships with Stefan and, perhaps most importantly, their tumultuous feelings for each other. With the help of some unlikely allies in the shape of Bonnie and Katherine, can Damon and Elena get to Stefan before it's too late, or will his deal with Klaus have pushed him beyond the point of no return?

It feels like someone is sitting on his chest. Or has wrapped some kind of vice around his ribcage and is methodically tightening the screws. He shifts in his seat, attempts to adjust his position in order to lessen the discomfort.
“Are you okay?” - "I'm fine."

“What do you mean, you can't? Of course you can, you're a Bennett. You can-” He's going to finish with do anything.
