Huh.  First piece of fan art here.  Not too awful, considering I haven't seriously drawn in YEARS and have NO CLUE how one properly uses colored pencils.  I might commit more fan in the future, if the mood strikes me.  I know I can scan things and post them now, which is deliciously enabling. 

Oh, this has been stewing in the back of my head since I first saw this picture and its companion by Katsari-Chan on dev-art.  It was finally brought to a boil during the recent Zutara meme run by a_twisted_vine, when someone requested background fic on the above.  Additional inspiration was provided by this picture by Melimsah.

One of my undergrad friends had the best Halloween tradition. Every year around Halloween, she would get her friends together and listen to the 1939 Orson Wells "War of the Worlds" broadcast.
