I like how understated this is. It strikes me as the right tone for medical professionals -- clearly, neither of them is precisely okay with death, but they aren't falling apart about it either. The way they respond to her as a dead pseudo-acquaintance seems right too. mccoy_chapel takes genfic about Chapel. I think you should post it there if you haven't already.
