Author's Note: We wrote this whilst sitting under a tree in Bute park, Cardiff. Unfortunately not *the* tree because we trudged around the park looking for it for an hour and failed miserably. (It's a big park with a *lot* of trees!)
After fifty wonderful years of marriage, three generations of Harkness-Jones stood in the spot where it all began. Years had not been kind to the trees. 'Their' tree had been felled the previous month and to mark its place and bring new life they were here today to plant four new trees, each to symbolize a generation of the family, the fourth due to be born in three months.
"When a new generation begins a new tree will be planted." Jack spoke softly as he gently squeezed Ianto's hand.
"And we'll be here together to watch 'our family' expand."
