My friend Galya called me on the phone to tell me that the children she works with were all staying home that day because of the flu epidemic in town and the weather, so she was allowed to leave earlier. That's why I caught a bus to get to our meeting place faster instead ( Read more... )

This is the front wall of one of the two major libraries in my home town. Alas, it's in a dark tunnel, so the light is always bad. This is an actual advertisement board in my home town. It's not even a 'tourist" town, but some people obviously think that it's "cool" to write their signs in English, sometimes with unexpectedly hilarious results.

The only photo (more or less) in focus and two terribly amateurish videos of folk dancing from the celebration of 3 March, the day of the liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire (in 1878).  It was early this evening - I mean the dancing, obviously. :)

These are some more of the photos I took on Friday. I guess I would have got better quality if it wasn't a gloomy rainy day (and crazy enthusiast me taking photos in the rain), but I had to go to that part of town anyway, which doesn't happen often, so I tried to take full advantage of it.

I went to run some errands today yesterday and the rain caught me on the road.
