Phew, I finally managed to upload and edit the photos from Friday, 28 January.
My friend Galya called me on the phone to tell me that the children she works with were all staying home that day because of the flu epidemic in town and the weather, so she was allowed to leave earlier. That's why I caught a bus to get to our meeting place faster instead of the daylight walk I'd planned, but I still managed to take some photos of the snow in town.
dan4behr, there is one photo for you behind the cut (no cars :P).
All the streets were cleared from the snow (wow, is it the new mayor or what), and there were walking paths on most sidewalks on my way back. I found out that I could walk on uneven ice or trodden-down snow with my current boots, but they leaked in water very badly. :( I walked all the way back home, and my feet were very wet at the end.
I know, no photos of me. Bad Dari. :)
No
sparrows this time. Some of them were on the nearest bench (was there some room left for them under all this snow, I wonder?).
I took this photo through the (closed) cafe window.
At one of the parks in town after I saw Galya off on part of her way home.
And now to the other park. Can you see the birds' footsteps here? :)
More birds' footsteps. I hadn't noticed them myself before I started editing the photos.
That
war monument among the trees, specially for
dan4behr.
The streetlights finally went on, but the light still wasn't good enough here.
On my way home:
The snow is still here, but the sun melts some part of it every day now.
