OMG, you are translating the Lioness Quartet! Can I fangirl you?

I read it last year and thought it was fantastic and was a bit sad that it hadn't been translated into Icelandic.

You totally rock, you know.

*blushes* Thanks...if you really want to...*notes date of first fangirl acquiry to self*

Tamora Pierce is fantastic, isn't she? I've had a blast with the translation (I started it aaages ago, when I was 11 I think...) because I'm playing around with proper Icelandicized names for everybody and it's really spiffy and gawdz I'm such a nerd...

But I'm rather hoping I can get it published, and turn Iceland on to the Lioness Quartet!

I read something like the first 2-3 chapters of the translation you sent me. I marked the spelling mistakes I could find red. Will be sending the proofread copy back to you once I'm finished. :)
Or maybe I should just correct the mistakes I find, because some of them are so tiny (like a comma instead of a full stop) that you might not see the red marking when you scroll through it.
Eh?

Yay! Excellent! Thou art fab, madam!

D'you know how to use TrackChanges? It's an excellent proofreading tool in Word, which allows you to keep really good track of all changes made to a document (which is prolly why it's called TrackChanges) - even the little bitty ones like commas and periods. I'll show you some day.

TrackChanges is awesome - When you've learned how to turn it on and off.
