It took me 4 hours and 15 minutes to get home from work last night!  I didn't even go home, I went to my mom's house because she lives much closer.  For those of you familiar with the Chicagoland area.....it took me 4 hours and 15 minutes to drive from Palos Heights to Tinley Park!!!!!

I'm having one of "those moments".  You know, the moments where you just want to get into your car and leave everything behind?  I have this fantasy of getting into my car and driving to New Mexico or Arizona (ala The Bean Trees) and starting over.  I get so fed-up here.  I hate Chicago....okay I don't hate Chicago but I am so sick of city life.  I ( Read more... )

Today I went to my momma's house to do some laundry and she cooked me and amazing lunch.  She made Chicken Tikka Masala with basmati rice and garlic naan bread.  I love Indian food.  I wish I could cook.  ::sigh ( Read more... )
