I'm doing the four questions one again.

This time greynonentity was the inquisitor:

1.) What's your favorite kind of art, in any period of time?

I gotta brush up on my Art History... I do like me some Surrealism a lot, but I think if I had to go with a favorite, I'd choose Art Nouveau. (And you can actually blame that in part on the anime series Mononoke2 ( Read more... )

1. Aside from YYH, what's an animated favorite you watch over and over again?

2. What's your favorite scene in your area? (you can use "area" as loosely as you'd like)

3. Depeche Mode vs. Nine Inch Nails: Who Wins?

4. What's an obscure goal of yours?

Ahhh, I so do love long answers.

I've been meaning to watch Mononoke. What's it about?

Heh, if you want, feel free to devote an entire LJ entry to who your favorite authors are and why. XD I'd love to read a much in-depth post about it. XDDD

Mononoke's sort of in the genre of Tales from the Crypt in the it's supernatural stories with a terror (which is distinct from horror, by the way) intent in mind, except the tales in this series draw more from Japanese folklore, appropriately, and they go more for the lingering mind-fuck rather than the brief jolt of a face in a window. Its "host" is the Medicine Seller that hcolleen's gaga about, who was in the third tale in a similar series called Ayakashi, which Mononoke spun off of. Every two or three episodes is devoted to one tale, and two of my favorites is the tale with the pregnant woman (the very first episodes) and the tale with the masked spirit (somewhere in the latter middle of the series). There are thirteen episodes, plus the artwork's pretty interesting--definitely not the anime canon, closer to, but way more two-dimensional than, the animation of Gankutsuou than any other series I can think of.

I shall have to do an authors post. And maybe an eclectic series post, considering the majority of this reply... XP
