After 36 hours of dear-God-please-kill-me-sick...

I at least know now that the Antiguans had nothing to do with it.

We'll blame that on 4:30 am delirium. But now I think that "James Joyce and the Antiguans" would make an interesting band name.

I yakked three times Friday night, spent all of yesterday in bed hardly conscious. I managed to eat an oatmeal square over the course of ... we'll say eight ( Read more... )

recovering, video, james joyce and the antiguans, delirium, sick, tv

You should have been wearing your cyber-diaphragm. And that web-kid don't look a thing like me.

I think I found the video by some really side-winding way ... like watching some stuff in "History" and then wandering along the "Related Videos." So more clearly: by accident ^^ I also rather like this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4HdajL6gUc

Oh, thanks for the second video. I need something to do, dammit, besides sit back and feel awful.

He would have looked like you if you'd stayed home more, Thoth! Why must you hurt this relationship with your continued apathy?

Should've been 'family.'

I'm loopy and haven't slept properly in days, don't take anything I say literally.

Oh yay, Karasu vid! I shall watch it shortly. Heyheyhey, though, what do you think of Ulysses? I'm planning on reading it, and now Sekah-my-sweet has shaken the foundations of my faith in High Lit. Can you comfort me, or do you have bad news too?

That would be a truly epic band.

WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THE SICKNESS. I CANNOT BE HAVING WITH IT. Drink lots of water, get lots of sleep! I command thee!

I don't mind Ulysses. However, you're going to want to have some knowledge of Latin, Greek and Hebrew lore, and turn of the (previous) century Irish history, or some footnotes-laden guide (and there are some out there, my professor showed me one) companion thing, if you want to understand a lot of the stuff they're talking about. My professor included annotations from some companion book in our handouts; later today I'll scan in a few pages so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure if that was comforting or scary, hahaha....

I know, I know, I'm going to go get some soup and drinks in a minute, I promise!

I'll look into an explanatory guide, then! I just have the straight text on my iPod because It Was Free. Thanks! That was comforting overall.

WATER. Not just drinks. Water is the best thing for you. Everything else has too much sugar in. *pets*

Glad to be of help.

And yes, water, I know. Sugar's in freakin' everything, it's ridiculous.

They don't let you burn sage in your dorm room? Isn't that some kind of religious thing that they can't ban?

Anyway...feel better. Everyone seems to be passing this thing around, I better wear a mask when i surf Eljay.

Fire hazard. As my father said, If a Catholic college won't let you burn candles/incense/whatever, good luck finding one that will. Doesn't matter anyhow right now, because while I have oh-so-cleverly done burning anyhow in the past (like when the closet in my previous dorm room smelled really musty, so I burnt a third of a stick of Nag Champa and made sure the smoke never rose too high), I've got zilch to light at the moment.

Yes. Wear a mask and carry some Explorers' First Aid kit thing. Don't want you catching the cyber-cholera or anything.
