After 36 hours of dear-God-please-kill-me-sick...

Feb 01, 2009 12:45

I at least know now that the Antiguans had nothing to do with it.

We'll blame that on 4:30 am delirium. But now I think that "James Joyce and the Antiguans" would make an interesting band name.

I yakked three times Friday night, spent all of yesterday in bed hardly conscious. I managed to eat an oatmeal square over the course of ... we'll say eight hours, yesterday, and drank a lot of water. Today so far I've drank a small cup-full of Fresca and eaten a bit of oatmeal. I think Johnna went and got me some Sprite Friday night but I was passed out when she called the second time around, so if she did get me some it's probably still with her.

Most traces of whatever-the-hell I had seem to be gone today. Around nine I got up and took a shower, then bagged up all my laundry, which probably needs to be switched over to the dryer sometime soon. Swept out the room, washed all my water bottles in hot soapy water ... too bad they'd probably not let me burn a sage stick in here *smirk* I'm just still kind of lightheaded and touchy with food, but I think I can go to work and class tomorrow.

So today I just need to:

Formulate a thesis statement for an essay in Gothic Novel (I'm thinking, maybe something to do with vocabulary), and
Read excerpts from Chapters 2 & 12 of Ulysses for Postcolonialism & Literature

And I'll have the immediate stuff done for the week. The beginning of the week (Monday), at least.

One thing being totally unfabulously sick finally made me do, though, was hook up the cable to my t.v. So when I was lucid I was lying the opposite way on my bed as usual and watching bits of Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, some show called 6Teen, some BatMan stuff, and Adult Swim. Apparently Robot Chicken's spoofing InuYasha tonight, so I might try to see that, haha.

So ... I should figure out what I'm doing now. Damn sickness putting my ass behind.

Well, in keeping with my previous entry, a video I found a few days ago. Karasu's not little-cheeky-doll creepy in this one, just regular canon creepy. Which I think isn't quite as creepy in comparison ^^
