As it were, spending hours with a stuffed toy clinging desperately to your leg was not the most exhiliarating way to spend a night in a country other than the one you're used to. Ishida had come to such a conclusion ages ago, before the pink had faded from the evening sky and shortly after he had been given a bird's eye view down Orihime's blouse while she attempted to save him. Curse that Kurosaki Ichigo for having randomly disappeared while they wandered into a candy store the only girl in their group insisted on checking out. Curse him for having a mod soul stuffed into an ugly lionbearthing.

Ishida's jaw actually dropped. Later, he would be glad that Ichigo hadn't actually seen his face. But for now, even he was utterly speechless. He had known Ichigo was stupid, and incapable of watching out for himself without something around that he felt the burning need to protect, but this was too much, even for him ( ... )
