Ray entered the schoolroom, pack on his back, looking around to see who was there. He'd kissed Mummy outside and told her that she didn't need to walk him in, but the truth was he wasn't feeling as brave and outgoing as usual. Not with everything going on with Daddy.

He sighed and walked to a desk, not sure what he was supposed to do next.

Shego looked at Ray, and smiled at him. She walked over and knelt next to him, brushing his hair with a kind smile.

"Hey, kiddo. You must be Ray. You excited?"

"Mom!" Shego looked up as Anna entered with Sam, and waved to the two.

"Find a seat-- not in the back, Firefly-- and be relatively quiet for a bit, okay? Hey, Sam." The girls nodded, and Sam waved back.

Charles Wallace clutched his notebook to his chest tightly, pencil gripped firmly in his hand. They'd been surprisingly easy to obtain on short notice, considering his arrival at the base and enrollment at the school had occurred the same day.

He'd signed himself up for Middle School, partially for the challenge and partially because he felt he should grasp the oppurtunity to attend school where the teacher seemed liable to beat the stuffing out of any bullies in case he was returned to his own world.

Not that Miss Go felt dangerous at all. A coiled thread of...hostility? pugnaciousness? wound its way underneath her thoughts, but for the most part she seemed warm and open.

Jake never finished Middle School-- no way he was going to try any of the High School bullshit when it had been three years since he'd handed in his whacked-out final at Piper and promptly split town. Not just town-- split his entire reality.

Somehow, he didn't think Shego would see the truth in Blaine the Pain or the Dark Tower, nor feel inclined to give him an A+ on any paper written under the influence of a time paradox.

"Well hey there, Sai Charles Wallace," he said, sliding into the seat next to him. "Oy, say hello to Charles Wallace."

"Arles! Arles Allace!" Oy barked, wagging his tail and still favoring his front right paw a little.

Terriermon had grumbled so much about being dragged to school in the morning that, upon finding the classroom and a seat, Anakin had given in and let her go back to sleep under his chair.

He waved at Jake and Charles, eyeing the younger boy curiously. He seemed rather small compared to the rest of the class.

High school, hmmph. Sounded far too American to James.

Still, it beat being bored all day -- he'd lost track of the number of times he'd played through GTA4 in the past couple weeks, and Tekken just wasn't the same without his mates.

He slid into a seat somewhere in the middle and glanced around to see who his classmates were.

Arik slid into his desk, looking very bored. This was going to be a kriffing joke. What could they possibly teach him? They didn't even have hyperspace or blasters or lightsabers or...

Oh, hey, it's James! He gave the other boy a wave and settled back in his chair.

James grinned and waved back. His fake Narnian brother! He glanced towards the front of the room and made two decisions quickly: one, class hadn't started yet so he couldn't get in trouble for moving, and two, it was better to sit next to a nerdy Star Wars brat you knew than to risk sitting next to a nerdy Star Wars brat you didn't know.

He scooped up his pen and pack of chewing gum (all he'd brought to class) and grabbed a free seat by Arik.

He held out the gum as further greeting.
