Well said!!! That touched a resonant chord in my soul.

There is a lot to be said for the freedom of traveling alone. But as I get older, I find an increasing desire to share the pleasures and sorrows of the trip with someone...

...After all, life is not a destiny, it is the trip! ...and the soul has need of companionship!!

and that's why I think comfort with one's self and one's thoughts is of the utmost importance, and those people that just can't stand being alone or stand moving forward on their own, are frankly pathetic.

You are right, sometimes certain members of society can indeed make one quite batty.
