Much has been made of the apparent fact that a sizable majority of African Americans in California voted Yes on Prop 8. The issue is a complex one with many grey areas. I find that most of the 60s hippies I know are still hippies, even in their 60s. They still tend to be lefties, or if righties they are fiscal righties.

I agree with you on this: I've seen many hippies grow more fiscally conservative with age, but the only move toward social conservatism I've ever seen from aging hippies is the one that involves lecturing their teenage kids about drugs.

I read your post last night and was giving the truth is I need to do more research before I can make a strong argument here. I've seen many agree on everything but this word, and so it does not seem worth clinging to. But as I say, I need to do more research. But for now...

In your post you mentioned that to be recognized elsewhere it needed to have the same word, but even with the same word, is i recognized elsewhere, even now?

The link did not come through. Any other good resources on the subject. From google all I found was a bunch of crap.
