Looming Along

It is just shy of 8:30 am, as I plop my butt, into the rickety old chair (which I know will one day BREAK under my weight), and begin this post. It is a bright day, outside. Golden with sunlight. Sunshine, I can deal with. After all, who doesn't love a nice, sunny day ( Read more... )

I am so glad we could help.

I find knitting almost meditative, as do a lot of people, so I think that's what you're getting into. The repetition of it is relaxing and frees the mind to think of other things or just to go into an almost trance-like state, and I know it's recommended to people for stress. I'm sure this is why I'm addicted to knitting.

I haven't done any for a few days because we got a young cat (7 months old) and I had to keep on eye on him as he settles in with the other two. It's going pretty well now so it's time to break out the needles again (and hope he doesn't go for the yarn the way the girls did when they were kittens).

Well, all I can say is this. I hope your yarn remains KITTY FREE! =)

I had to untangle and reknit the first mitt I made because Ashley got at it. She used to hook knitted items out of the drawer too if it was open enough for a paw, but they've grown out of it. Jasmin actually likes my knitting; she gets on my lap and snuggles up to it. It remains to be seen how Sebastian reacts but I'm guessing: ooh, toy!
