A Long, PAINFUL Day!

Mar 05, 2011 09:36

This morning, I woke up just after 7 am. I climbed out of bed, and have already had my first cup of coffee, as I watched an episode of Dexter. I am now writing this out, with my second cup of coffee, by my side. I am wide awake, and (without the pains of tendonitis, or my twisted ankle) I am COMPLETELY ready to start my day ( Read more... )

You know. Next time I place an order for the bathballs I love, I need to order you a gift certificate. I've done that to one of my favorite online authors and they now love the place too. I have absolutely no affiliation with them, but I'm such a fan, I love spreading their goods to others who love a good bath.

(I think I might go take a bath myself, that sounds really blissful, though I'm thinking a cocktail instead of wine.)

And a cocktail sounds nice now. LOL!

Correct me if I miss something. You're dealing with:

the overwhelming emotions of literally standing on your own two feet, something you never thought you would experience;

pain and fear (understandable, 6'2" is a long way down);

the frustration that goes with keeping track of all those little stitches (one mistake can keep me up all night);

living in a multi-person household, with someone who you just plain don't like or trust;

May I suggest you consider the numerous stress triggers you are dealing with either voluntarily or involuntarily. Change the ones you can, and have the strength to accept the ones you can't.

The BATH is a keeper! I'm jealous reading that one!

I agree completely with this. You are holding up really well for everything you have to deal with every day.

That physical therapy session sounds painful. Are you feeling a bit better / ankle a bit looser for it now? I hope you get something out of it.

Can't you all tell an unpleasant person to leave?

I've sometimes lain awake at night thinking about how to fix something in my knitting and actually gone downstairs and done it so I can relax. I'm getting more relaxed about that though.

[Edit] Oh and Lush is a great place to buy beautiful bath bombs and soaps from if you enjoy luxuriating in the bath. :-)

I wish I knew enough to fix my knitting. For now, I just take it over to a friend and she'll fix it or rip it back carefully so I can start the rows over. It's good to have a friend like that, though.

There are some great vids on YouTube I've learned from. This is a good one for going back several rows.

[Edit] This is a much better vid, sorry.

I used to rip back and laboriously pick up the loose stitches (and still have to if I'm using a complicated stitch).

I'm a bit envious --I wish I had a slightly bigger bathtub and water heater. I'm not a large person --I'm 5' 3" and I can't get enough water into the tub to cover my torso fully without scrunching up my legs so my knees are out of the water! And it turns out that our water heater only holds about one current sized tubs worth of water. That's not my idea of a relaxing bath.

I'm sorry you have to deal with someone who won't respect you or your stuff.

I, too, have to fold my legs, to get in the tub. But, it is so worth it. LOL! I am NEVER without bubble bath. My world would just be over, without bubble bath. LOL!
Thank you, for the sympathy. It is hard living with this person. I won't lie.
