( If there was maybe one thing that anyone in the dorms noticed about the blackout first, it was that the wifi had cut out. )

( It was warm outside for late September and happily free of pedestrians thanks to the late hour, but the bright streetlamps of Abaton made it possible to read even when loitering out on the dorm's front stoop. )
