Midday was a prime time for a snack, and snacks were best had while reading. This is what Lawrence believed in. He knew that the kitchen would not be populated at this time of day, so going now was the best chance to avoid a large group of people (or worse, someone he knew) in the kitchen. He made his way down the stairs with his current literary pursuit, The Clocks by Agatha Christie, in hand. He scanned a passage as he came down to the first floor, walking into the kitchen.

And then he saw it.

A girl was in the kitchen. He dropped his book about murders relating to timepieces immediately as he stared, utterly shocked by what he had seen. He recognized this girl. She was in the attic with him and she followed him on Twitter ( ... )

Abbey didn't expect anyone to come in, but when she heard the creak of the door, she stood right up. Maybe if she kept her head down, the visitor would assume she belonged there? Maybe... Except of course it had to be someone who was familiar with her from Twitter, who knew her face and apparently was not pleased to see her.

Well, no one would be. But her best hope with Lawrence Bright was to just give up now, or at least, try really hard to get her posters hung and make good her escape before he got back with a teacher.

"Hanging posters," she said, innocently. "Don't let me stop you from getting whatever you came from. I'll only be a few more minutes." Ten, tops, she thought, eyeing the remaining wallspace critically. Definitely ten, tops. Right? All this hesitation was wasting time, so she got right to hanging more posters with a bit more energy, now that she had a definite time limit. "You should pick up your book or someone'll step on it and then it'll get ruined!"

Lawrence picked up The Clocks as Abbey suggested, but he did not do so with a smile on his face. In fact, his frown deepened. As if he was just going to let her break the rules with her poster hanging foolishness!

"...I think not. You have been caught red-handed, Aibao, so if you would, kindly curtail your poster hanging foolishness and surrender and confess your actions to the proper authority. If you will not do so, I will do so for you. Rules are made to be obeyed, not broken. Even in the name of space or... whatever it is you're hanging up there," He lectured.

"Um, no," said Abbey, as if Lawrence were stupid. She rolled her eyes and did not cease nor desist her poster-hanging foolishness. "I'm sorry! But I am going to get a detention either way, I'd rather finish what I came to do!" It was only logical, right? Better to ask forgiveness than permission. Or in this case, accept punishment for her actual crime being fait accompli, rather than being incomplete and terrible. "I mean, I won't stop you from getting a teacher, because to do so would be possibly violent and I don't want to hurt you even though I don't like you, but I am hardly going to go to the faculty RA and say, hello! I somehow found my way into the boys' side of the dorms and I am not going to tell you how and you'll just have to punish me for it ( ... )
