WHY: Someone had to catch Abbey at it.

October wasn't really that far away, and if she had any hope at all of getting permission together for an eleven at night meteor shower viewing. That was so far after curfew that she wouldn't even dare try to sneak out, because sneaking back in without being noticed would be impossible even with her secret weapon. With that in mind, she used the secret weapon to find her way into the boys' kitchen. Her backpack was full of advertisements for the Astronomy Club and a meteor viewing on bright yellow and orange paper--the better to draw attention. (She also had three rolls of self-portioning double-sided tape ready to go! Be Prepared, that was Abbey's motto.)
(Well, no, Abbey's motto was Vi veri veniversum vivus vici, but be prepared was sort of part of that.)
Sometimes being a legacy kid wasn't as much of a pain in the ass as she'd thought. She grinned to herself and set about the important task of wallpapering the boys' kitchen with posters. It would take a while, but just about everyone was in their dorms this time of day, if the girls' side was anything to go by. She ought to have the half-hour or so she would need to complete the job and escape unscathed!
