It was pretty snowy last night, and then it rained, and this morning it's below freezing, so it's pretty icy out. My car was  towed away today. :( It will be a month, they say, until we can move back in!

Today I went to my house after school to clean out the fridge as much as I could before the sun went down, and the guys pumping out the garage let me ride in a canoe into the garage. It was pretty fun.

I visited my house after school today; it didn't get inside at all, but they've determined that the water filling the garage might be hazardous (human!) waste, since part of the problem was a burst pipe that might have had sewage in it, or something. When we showed up, the news was there, and they interviewed me, so I might be on the news like Dane ( Read more... )

So after we left yesterday afternoon, Dane wanted to go stay at his friend's house, which is in Lynnwood, about half an hour north of where we live. After a few hours, though, we realized that it would be really hard to get to school in the morning from so far away, and we decided to stay at his mom's apartment. I think we'll be  leaving the house in the next few minutes. The water is rising about 2 inches every ten minutes, and we have less than a foot to go. We're packing up frantically, and insurance only covers my car.

 So, this morning, my alarm clock went off, and I woke up. I put my contacts on and went out into the front of our house, and looked out the window. Then I FREAKED OUT, because there was a waterfall going into our underground garage. Only, it wasn't really like a waterfall, more like a river. Today I went to  the doctor to get some blood drawn, and the regular vein didn't work (I think it was because he put the torniquet thing on way too tight [my hand was getting tingly]), so he took my blood out of my wrist.
