Without any real warning, a voice suddenly sounded over the PA system in the room. "Excuse me everyone, but I'd like to have your attention."

On the stage in the ballroom stood a portly and balding middle-aged man who wore a uniform that looked too small in some areas. He held in one large, shaking hand a piece of paper while the other curled around the microphone held to his lips. Once the crowd quieted down and he had their attention he continued. "Unfortunately the Ball will be ending a bit early tonight. We need all ship captain's to report in to the stage immediatly. All other officers and guests, please exit the ballroom."

His tone implied that while this might have been worded like a request, it was most definitely an order. "We hope you enjoyed your time here, and have a pleasant evening."
