Making his way over to the kitchen, he could smell the food from quite a distance away. If the scent was any indication of the quality of the food, then this was going to be a very enjoyable meal.
Peeking in, he saw all the food on display and helped himself to some of the soup and milk, sitting down quietly.
"...thank you, Watanuki."

He paused when Ness took his soup, watching him take the first mouthful. "How is it?" he asked. He felt protective of Ness since his... ordeal. Watanuki knew a little how it felt, that helplessness, the weariness after facing something terrible that no one else really understood. Not that he knew how to say that, really, but maybe the soup would do some of talking for him.

"It's really good!" He smiled. And he wasn't just saying that, either. He was convinced that nobody could cook better than Watanuki. With the possible exception of Ness' own mother. She knew how to make the perfect steak. But Ness had to admit that Watanuki was indeed, better than his mother in just about everything else.

"You're doing better now, right?" he asked quietly. He didn't want to bring it up, really, but he was concerned.

Slamming the doors open she breathed heavily, leaning against the frame to catch her breath.
"AM...", heaaaaaaave and a deep inhaling, "I...", exhale, "TOO LATE?"
