Truthfully, Gumshoe would have loved doing something on Lunasa - after all, pal, it was a holiday, and holidays were meant to be celebrated to the fullest! Especially with pals and friends alike!
...but of course, the gunner had used up pretty much the last of his francs on the presents he had gotten for the people he could get presents for, so in the end he was pretty much down and out and without no way to really celebrate the holidays without losing what little possessions he had, Gumshoe thus simply stayed on the ship. He supposed it wasn't that all bad anyway - it wasn't like back in Tulgim, where he was always alone and without anyone at all.
Which was why he was still in pretty good spirits as he went around the ship and humming 'We Wish You A Merry Lunasa' under his breath while he mostly puttered around in a bid to spend his time as cheerfully as possible.
He recognized Gumshoe the moment he turned a corner and spotted the other further down the hallway. The Quartermaster immediately smiled, and waved in greeting.
"Lieutenant Gumshoe. This is a pleasant surprise."
Gumshoe paused in his humming at the greeting, looking up before he blinked, smiled and waved back in return as well. "Same to you, sir! I thought you'd be out celebrating Lunasa with the rest of the crew!" Oh, how he wished he had the money to join them... but alas, there was only so much his pay could manage.
Hisoka found himself feeling strangely at loose ends. He had been up since 4 a.m., and although not technically on duty, he had spent four hours reorganizing the gunnery department's tool cabinets. Then he had eaten a quick breakfast and stepped outside into the hot, sunny morning. He blinked in the intense light, breathed the dusty wind. Now what?
A series of Lunasa visits?--well, it would give his day some shape.
He set off down the makeshift landing field, and when he came to the Amestris, he stopped. They let him on.
"Good morning, Lt. Commander Mustang!" he said, encountering the man before he had had a chance to ask where to find him.
The boy was going out of his way just for that? That was rather nice of him.
"'Work' is relative at a time like this, really," Roy admitted as he turned away, just so. "If you're not busy, you could walk with me for a while. I'd appreciate the company."
A like-minded Komamura also roamed the empty hallways. The demihuman was not at all satisfied with the the state of things. Following the attacks, the Amestris should have been on high alert. Instead, half of the crew had disembarked for the city, and the bulk of their security were dealing with festival events.
He himself had been part of that group, but today had been scheduled as his "day off." And he chose to spend it here, investigating the ship. It was not entirely a deliberate decision--Komamura could not have relaxed now if he had wanted to.
"Lieutenant Commander," Komamura did not know the man personally, but his perception was that he was quite the busybody. It was no surprise, then, that he came off as a bit anxious.
Chase had just finished his shift and was headed back to his room. He didn't have anything planned, and there wasn't anyone he could hang out with. His co-workers were much older than him and he hadn't made any friends on the ship.
He leisurely stretched his arms and walked along the corridors. He was thinking about just staying in his room and reading. Chase was so used to passing holidays with nothing happening when he was younger that he tended to treat holidays like any other day.
It was at that point that Roy spotted Chase in one of the corridors full of the rooms of the ship's crew. The Quartermaster went over right away, of course.
"Doing the work that everyone else won't be able to attend to, since it's Lunasa." And while he sounded a little put out by that, it actually didn't bother Roy all that much. He was staying on board by choice.
Unlike other people, Francis didn't go out for Lunasa, who would he go with? he didn't know anyone yet, and he had no family. So instead, he just sat around the ship.
So instead of literally sitting and staring at the walls, Francis started going on his way to the kitchen, but found something much more interesting on the way.
"Good evening," He says, walking up next to Roy, "Shouldn't you be out with friends, or a girl or something? your not to old to be excluded from that yet," Francis chuckles lightly.
Ah, he recognized that voice. The new cook, was it?
"Someone has to make sure everyone else has fun, unfortunately." Roy offered the other a smile. "Francis Bonnefoy, I hope? Else, I'll be horribly embarrassed to have mistaken you for someone else."
"Excuses, excuse, Monsieur," Francis chuckles, shaking his head, "Oui, that is me, you must be Monsieur Mustang, non?" He asks slightly tilting his head to the side out of habit.

A crooked smile.
"What about you? What are you doing indoors?"

Roy immediately went over, offering the young man a smile. At any other time, a visit like this wouldn't have been possible without some talk...
"What brings you here?"

"Major Komamura." Roy blinked at the sight of the demi-human, and approached immediately. "Is something the matter?"
Wasn't it his day-off? (Yes, Roy was one to keep track of pretty much everything.)

"Not at all." he answered.

Roy flashed the other a crooked smile, visibly relaxing.
"It's Lunasa. Don't have any plans?"

He extended his hand, smile still in place.
"It's nice to finally meet face-to-face, isn't it?"
