Komamura lingered near one of the entrances. He was silently taking stock of the faces in the gathered crowd, noting the political representatives in particular. The demihuman had opted against joining in the search for the...intruders. Any information that was discovered would be brought here, and the room would no doubt benefit from the presence of officers.

Or so he had thought. But all that he had witnessed so far could be summarized as dark looks and nervous chattering. The mood was foreboding, and rightly so. He himself worried that the ballroom might not be the most defensible of locations. If worse came to worst.

Grumman was doing rounds of the ballroom; had to keep morale up! The commanding officers' presence almost always helped.

Komamura was an imposing sight, Grumman had to admit. The officer towered over everyone in the room, and that was before you ever got to his unusual appearance.

He also, however, appeared to have something on his mind. "Penny for your thoughts, Major," Grumman said jovially as he walked by.

Grumman. . .

Komamura had not yet decided where he stood on the issue of leadership on the Amestris. However, he was certain that it was not with this man. The General was an opportunist, and he was not sure what to make of it. Although such things seemed unimportant at the moment.

He straightened a bit when addressed. "I am merely concerned, sir," he said honestly.

"Concerned how, exactly?" Grumman asked. "Tactical concern? Political? Worried about the Admiral? There's certainly no shortage of things to be concerned about!"

Well, things had certainly taken quite the turn for the surprising.

To be honest, even Ciel himself hadn't expected something like this to happen. The captain himself abruptly getting missing in action had been bad enough, but the fact that there were now people taking action against them while their captain was gone was a clear cause for concern. It reeked of plot, of someone having planned all of this out... it was clear enough that the radicals making their move right after the captain was gone had been all premeditated. Someone was pulling the strings, and it was that someone who needed to be found.

...but before that, first. Getting this ship out of their current predicament. No dobut that most of the military personnel were now scrambling to defend the ship, but something like this could only be done for so long; they had to nip the problem in the bud soon if they wanted their peace, and fast. Otherwise things would easily take a turn for the worse if the crew didn't shape up.

Though I'll need for someone to actually listen ( ... )

Naoto could most definitely fight and look after herself, but she wasn't part of the military. Besides, while she was a detective by trade and had a keen eye for spotting things, her expertise was tailored for crime scenes, not terrorism.

And should the passengers and VIPs of the ship need defending, she would be there. Protecting those who couldn't protect themselves was the main priority. There were some bodyguards assigned to watch the entrances, but more help would never be turned away. For now, she had taken it upon herself to try to get peoples' minds off of the situation, and had brought a box of her chocolates along to help. She offered them around, with some people taking them and others refusing. They all seemed to appreciate the gesture, though.

As she made her rounds, she came across Ciel, who seemed quite calm about the situation compared to many of the other passengers.

"Would you like a chocolate, sir?" she asked, holding out the open box.

Ciel blinked out from his train of thoughts as the other came around, looking mildly surprised at the offer. Well, there was that saying about sweet things calming the nerves (not that he was nervous in the first place), but he was only a kid, and sweet things did happen to be one of his two vices...

Inclining his head slightly, the boy looked up to the... girl (or at least, he was quite certain of that), who was offering him the chocolates and let a small smile cross his face.

"I believe I shall," the young earl replied as he pried off the glove on his right hand before reaching out to take a chunk of chocolate from the offered box, putting it into his mouth and relishing the sweet taste - nothing like what Sebastian made, certainly, but it was quite delicious nevertheless. He looked towards the other again, nodding once. "Thank you for the offer, Miss."

"You're welcome," she replied. She wasn't sure if he was genuinely appreciative or just being polite, but he did take one. For someone who looked young, he certainly carried himself like one of the social elite. Wanting to take a break from her self assigned patrol.

"What do you think of this situation?" she asked, hoping to pass some time with conversation.

It was depressing. Completely depressing. So depressing that the good count didn't even have the heart to reply to the terrorists. He had been cooped in his little corner in the big Amestris ballroom: in tears, in sorrow, in utmost devastation.

Tamaki meant well. When he decided to do that soup kitchen club, he decided to serve in the best interest of the people. The butlers. The ambience. The smiles. The heart. All of them were meant to make the people of Solare happy.

But it didn't make them happy. It only made things worse. Now the ship was in danger and it's all because of his efforts. Hence, he sulked by the corner, not exactly knowing whether what he did was wrong or right.

While Larsa didn't find himself depressed, the very situation itself was disheartening at best. To think that their mere presence in Solare could incite the wrath of so many. Was there never a way around bloodshed? So far it had only been their ship targeted, but with the Captain missing following the bombing of his train, it was not a stretch to assume someone, perhaps the very same people, had been behind it. If that was the case, it was indeed possible he'd been taken hostage.

But while he was confined to the ballroom, there wasn't much to do but wait, using his difference engine to contact all else on the outside. He'd taken notice of Tamaki earlier, but he hadn't looked quite so despondent. But upon seeing him take refuge in a corner, he approached the older boy, lowering down into a crouch as he gently touched Tamaki's knee.

"Are you all right?"

Tamaki simply turned around, tears welling around his eyes. Since this was Larsa, it was completely fine to look less diplomatic than he should. Clearly... he hasn't been well.

The look alone spoke volumes, and misinterpreting Tamaki's grief for fear or sickness -- maybe even both -- Larsa barely resisted removing his glove to feel the other's forehead, and miraculously kept both hands to himself.

"Are you unwell? Shall I fetch a medic?" he questioned in concern, unhappy that Tamaki was unhappy when he was normally full of life.

Roxas felt worthless, holed up here in the ballroom and unable to help with anything. He couldn't look for invaders, he couldn't spot or fix sabotage, and he couldn't even fight if things came down to a battle to protect the passengers.

He knew he shouldn't be hard on himself. He was a civilian, and the Amestris was supposed to be a peaceful, diplomatic ship with the sole purpose of bringing good to Reial and solving conflict. Still, it felt kind of bad when his biggest skill - navigation - would prove to be completely useless.

Lingering around the center of one of the walls, all he could do was wait for a signal that everything was safe again.

After yet another round through the ship, Roy made his way back to the ballrooom in order to check how things were going. The Quartermaster's exasperation was probably evident in his expression, although he wasn't about to admit to any of it, if anybody pressed him...

The alchemist slipped inside, nodding to the guards before doing a round through the area to talk to people and check how things were. The situation was hardy ideal, and he wasn't about to let morale slip and irritation ruin things.

Roxas noticed the officer entering the ballroom, and his natural curiosity began to take hold. Was he here to take up bodyguard duties? Giving orders? A report? Asking for one? Whatever it was, he didn't look happy. Not that anyone could be happy given the situation they were in. As the officer drew near, he dared to ask, "Everything okay?"

Huh, unfamiliar kid. Roy wasn't nearly as familiar with the crew of the Amestris as he would have liked just yet...

"For the moment, yes. You are?"

The unicorn had not intended to mingle much with the crew at all on her journey. But certain conversations she had had over the network had piqued her interest, and really, it might behoove her to check with the crew to see if they'd seen the others...

So when the order came that all non-essential personnel were to head to the ballroom, she complied, with hesitation. She entered the ballroom as discreetly as she could, but unicorns are rather hard to ignore.

A feeling of great calm and peace emanated from her, and even those who saw only a horse when they looked at her could feel it. She moved as silently as she could over to one of the corners. Perhaps from there she'd be able to see Amateseru.

Now this was interesting. A unicorn was it? He hadn't seen one in years and it was long before his magicks had even become to settle upon summon beasts. Perhaps one time he had a chance of summoning such beautiful and majestic creatures, but he had picked a far darker design.

Smiling gently in his usual pristine white, Muraki eyed over the beast trying to slide into the ballroom. It had taken himself but minutes to enter. White was a very bright color. It was hard to miss, especially with such an aura as his own.

"You look as if you're trying to hide."

She was a little surprised, to say the least. Firstly, because this... human... was speaking to her and expecting an answer, indicating that he could see her for what she truly was. But that was at least explained when she truly looked at him,for the gloom of magic clung to him.

"I have no need to hide." Her voice was pure and clear. What else would one expect from a creature of pure good? "I was merely trying to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to myself. It lessens the chances of awkward questions."

He hadn't been sure, but hearing her voice, that quirked a brow and his interests. "Mm, I haven't seen one of you since my visit to Kropmork-Nahk." Still, he was curious. Was it a half breed perhaps, or truely the wonderous beast that was a unicorn. With blood so rare and delicious, a mane as pure as snow, and a shine to their flesh that left even the greatest of sacrifices to be put to shame.

"Awkward questions? I'm afraid I don't understand. I just assumed you didn't want the attention."
