The boatswain sighed as he trudged through the corridors, one (non-Angel-fied) lunchbox in hand which he was forced to make for himself due to the cook strikes. Unlike most of the crew, Hijikata had the sense not to touch the lunches when they had arrived - just the mere mention of the place 'Lunchland' was more than enough to set alarms ringing in his head. He only knew one person who would do something like this and was most likely throwing the ship into an even bigger mess then it already was ( ... )

He stopped as soon as he heard the knocks. It took him a moment to register the voice, and he rolled his eyes.
"Where else would I be?" There was a pause, and he said, "Come in."

At any rate, the boatswain allowed himself into the other's room once the permission was given, making sure that the door was closed securely once he was in. He really didn't want to see any more birds flying around or skeletal rats on two legs. Had he been a lesser man, he might have already freaked.
Turning around to glance at the silver-haired man, Hijikata gave the other a quick once over before remarking dryly. "At least he isn't starving you to death."

The look on his face changed, though, as soon as he saw the lunchbox in Hijikata's hands. He was surprised at first, but in a moment, he merely leaned back and raised a single eyebrow. "No bread and water? I'm almost touched."
Sarcasm aside, the delivery made him concerned. If Hijikata had to deliver his food like this, then that meant that the kitchen troubles were far from over.

"The pencils are fine," he said irritably. "What do you want?"

Hence, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and it was a miracle that he was functional at all. The alchemist stifled a yawn as he moved into the next corridor, completing his latest patrol round--
--Well, a familiar door. He paused at the entrance to Edgeworth's quarters, wondering, idly, if he ought to disturb the man. He had not seen him, given recent events, and he wondered whether he should pop in and check on him in the first place. Was it even proper of him to do so...?
Another pause (and some time to think of an excuse), and Roy stepped forward, knocking on the man's door.
"Commander Edgeworth? It's me."

As long as he was here, he might as well take advantage of it.

He'd heard Kristoph's side of the story. Now, it was time to get Edgeworth's. He'd heard that the ex-first mate had been confined to his quarters, so that was where Phoenix went. Taking a deep breath outside, he knocked on the door, deciding not to announce himself. If he said who he was, there was a definite possibility Edgeworth would tell him to get lost, after all. It would take more than a year on the same ship to put him on anything less than bad terms with Edgeworth.

"Of course you would," he said, with a sneer on his face. "Are you short on stories all ready?"

Luckily, his mako-strength came in handy for this and he was able to bend the hinges back to their places. However, it just ate more time.
Sephiroth sighed as he came upon the latest ripped door, this one would be the last one of the day, he decided. He blinked when he saw an occupant inside. "Excuse me, sir," He called in. "I hope I'm not intruding but I'll be the one fixing your door. I'll try to be quick."
Usually, the people were not in their rooms. This could prove interesting, as he had not met this man before.

Edgeworth glowered at the now open entryway and grit his teeth in frustration. Unfortunately, he couldn't just go off to investigate; regardless of the chaos, he was still confined to his quarters, and the boatswains had been keen to enforce it. Short of the ship being blown to smithereens, he was trapped.
...and knowing von Karma, even that was doubtful.
His thoughts were interrupted by the presence of a newcomer. That was Crescent, wasn't it? Edgeworth couldn't be sure; he didn't have a chance to meet the man before this whole mess started, but he matched the description he heard. Who else could it be.
"You aren't interrupting anything, Lieutenant Commander." Edgeworth gestured to where his door once was, and said, "Go right ahead."

Nonetheless, he leaned the door against the frame and proceeded to unscrew all the ruined screws from the hinges.
