Rikku had been one of the helping crew, setting up the various alcohols. "Y'know, Vash, we really need to get an on-ship bar," she called. "It'd make storin' this stuff a lot easier."

Now that the looting was done, Rikku had gone from fancy black dress to not-so fancy blouse and pants (she'd had the experiacne of going to an after-party in a skirt. All the drunken crew members kept stepping on it).

"You'll have to ask the Captain about that one," Vash said with a laugh. "But it seems to me like it'd be asking for trouble. We'd never be able to pull some people away from it." He was including himself in that estimate, too. As well-intentioned as some people weren't, he felt that sometimes, they were close to driving him to drink. Even more than he usually did, anyway.

He took a seat at the table with all the alcohol, grabbing a bottle and a mug with only a quick glance at the label. It was rum, predictably, something a little better than what was in the kegs. "A place for everyone to relax, though... that doesn't sound half bad."

"And that is precisely why we don't have an in-ship bar." Kurt said stepping over to Vash and Rikku. He was dressed out of his stage-clothes and into something far more forgiving. Loose black pants and a slightly opened white shirt.

"Don't worry, I've thought on it myself. Alas, I would lose my crew to the call of the bottle." Kurt took liberty of sitting down on top the table, grabbing a bottle and a mug respectfully. Oh, yes. Tonight was a night well deserved of the rum, he thought.

Hopefully no one would be terribly hungover the next day when they needed to leave port. Ah well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger?

Rikku jumped. "Do you have to be so sneaky, Cap'n?" she asked weakly. "I'd like to live long enough to get married, and you're gonna give me a heart attack!" The mechanic eyed the wine. Pour a glass or not pour a glas...

Riku arrived on deck, carrying a small box tied up with twine. With something of an apologetic smile, he set it down upon the table, pulling the string free.
"I thought I'd get something for the party that wasn't alcohol, but..." He shook his head, pulling the lid free. "There was only one place still open, and even then, they only let me in because I was willing to buy what they were going to throw away."
Nodding his head once in Vash's direction, he continued, "I did manage to get a few donuts, if you want to get them before they're gone."

Inside of the box were various pastries and cookies, all left over from the end of the bakery's busy day.

Rikku snatched the donuts and stuffed them at Vash. "Hide them, quick!"

... Donuts? That got his attention like nothing else could, making him look over so fast he nearly hurt his neck. "You... you got donuts?!"

And then he was being given the donuts, an act that brought tears to his eyes. He didn't hide the donuts, no. He grabbed them and started chowing down. There wasn't any time to stop and enjoy it, if he didn't want them snatched out of his hands!

Vash had them swallowed down in about ten seconds flat, wiping both his mouth and his eyes afterwards. He was still tearing up. "Those were really good! Thank you!"

"Not a problem." Riku replied, laughing a little. "They were the last two, and I thought I saw your name on them, so I brought them back for you."

The second Kir flew in, he was already heading straight to the kegs. A kick with his leg, and it began to flow, right into the glass in his hand. He chugged down a few glass-fulls, gave a little burp, and then said the following loud enough for anyone in the room to hear.

"You're welcome."

"Uh... hey, Kir. How was the play?" Riku shook his head in mild amusement at his entrance.

"I'm sure it was." Riku replied, smiling. "You always know just what to add to a performance."

Carol walked up onto the deck after making sure everything had been put back the way it should be backstage. She also made doubly sure that the costumes were stored away from food. She took a minute to appreciate the decorations, Vash and the others really did do a good job decorating, and for some reason it always surprised her.

It didn't take Carol long however to find the drinks. After the arguments, stains, and badly colored carriages she felt she deserved at least one drink. She looked over the selections and decided to try the wine Rikku, Riku and Sonic had grabbed. She took a sip testing the flavor.

"Ya know I can understand why this wine's so expensive now. I say good job to whoever first found it."

"The wine is good," Lillet said with a small nod of approval. She was halfway through a tall glass of Guinness. "I tried a little, they must have had a very good crop. It aged well too."

She giggled a little. "When I was five, I used to like helping the other girls in the village with getting the juice from the grapes at the vineyard."

Carol smiled at her fellow strategist as she took another sip of her wine. "I never would have pegged you as a wine connoisseur Lillet. That must have been fun as a kid. I just played around with my brothers mostly."

Stir was still trying to get use to being on a ship. Though she use to see them all the time, she'd never actually been on one. It was taking some getting use to, but she found she was enjoying it. Not so much the wild party, though. She wasn't much of a part person, but she was there.

Standing near by, yet still not a part of the crowd, Stir was leaning on the railing. She was more interested in the colors of the sky than the alcohol. Though it was interesting seeing her fellow crew members for the first time, albeit drunk.

When Riku walked off, Jing wondered briefly if he had said something wrong. Perhaps he was reading too much into it. Instead, he perused the rest of the party with a mildly amused expression on his face. He caught sight of a young woman with long silvery hair, standing by herself. Well, that wouldn't do.

Jing picked up another glass of wine and strode over to the woman, offering the glass. "Parties are usually meant for socializing, wouldn't you say?"

Stir glanced up at the sound of Jing's voice, looking mild surprised she had been approached. But quickly her face fell into a more neutral expression and she straightened from her lean on the railing. She seemed a little skeptical as she glanced from him to the wine. Eventually, however, she took the offered glass and turned her eyes back to the sky.

"I'm not really a partying type of person."

"I couldn't tell," Jing joked with a smile. He followed her line of vision and, not seeing anything but the sky, smiled in a knowing sort of way. "What are you thinking about? Normally when I think, I look at the sky. Watch it change." He took a slow sip from his own glass.

"This is good, by the way."
