Maka met her halfway, clasping Chrona's shaking hand in hers. She was only aware of the fact that Kamina had picked the poor kid up before, and she didn't even know that she had so little experience with contact, but she still felt like she should be nice about it.

She smiled, too, glad that Chrona was at least willing to reach out to her.

"Alright, let's go, then. For real this time, I mean," and she turned around and re-examined the signs. No good... No good... No good... Hm....

Chrona smiled a little. Kamina and Mion's hands had been somewhat rough, and her mother's... well. She didn't want to think about that. But Maka's hand was warm, and it was almost as if the feeling was spreading through her. She gripped the other girl's hand a little tighter.

Chrona's eyes darted around, partly in one of her nervous displays, partly to take in the diffrent shops. When she spied a store with a window display full of clothes, she tugged a little on Maka's hand.

"W-What about there?" She asked.

Chrona's tugging on her hand didn't go unnoticed, and she looked back, first towards Chrona herself, then the store she had pointed out.

It looked promising enough (Maka wasn't exactly a fashion expert, though) so she simply replied with a, "Yeah, alright," and led Chrona in.

Although it seemed sort of wrong, considering the fact that Chrona had been the one to notice it.

Chrona sighed in relief as they entered the store. The din of the crowd was mostly muffled, and there were barely any customers inside. Maybe she could deal with this.

Looking around, she took in the diffrent contents of the store. Most of the clothes seemed to be rather simple, which was good. Chrona didn't see the hype for the fancy clothes so many of the people out in the streets wore.

Now if only she knew what she should buy. She had worn nothing but her current outfit for as long as she could remember, which meant she had absolutely no fashion sense.

Fashion sense or no, Chrona was getting new clothes. Even if Maka didn't really value appearances, it was important to have more than one set of clothes. Just as a general rule. And multiple sets of skirts and sweater vests did not count, that was totally different.

She did come to the realization that she didn't have any fashion sense pretty quickly, though, as she looked at the racks of clothes with some vague intimidation on her face. But that was fine too. It's not like the clothes would eat her.

She started walking again, asking Chrona, "What kind of clothes do you think you would want?"
