Maka thought it was great that Chrona was making friends, really. She had been worried when they first got on (because obviously Chrona's goals in joining were vastly different from hers) but it seemed that that had been all for naught.
Although it did make her kind of sad when Chrona was alone with Ragnarok. She knew that people sometimes needed to be alone (a nerd like her was intimately aware of this fact) but the fact that Chrona really never had something like just made her want to be with Chrona more.
So was this better? Maka wasn't a huge fan of shopping, but she figured as long as they were in a merchant-town, they ought to get stuff like this done. She was only now coming to the realization that she hadn't made a list, though. She was mentally kicking herself for it.
