Rushing right to the scene as quickly as her feet could carry her, Yuna dash through the city heading right towards the shopping district that she was sure had to be the spot where that distressful message originated from. It wasn't unlike her to speed off running towards the aid of another, especially since this young heroine cannot seem the understand the concept of 'No'. Yuna is kind woman, the kind of woman who always tries her best to help everyone even when she should be helping herself. She is a selfless and determined individual with a heart made out of gold ( ... )

He gave a sympathetic wince. They got caught in THAT? Geez... He wished he could do more to help, but he'd just stand by and hold the bag for now. "You're going to be all right," he said to the little girl in what he hoped was a soothing tone.

A slight shiver made its way up Gorobei's spine as the woman leaned to check out the cut on his leg. He never enjoyed the feeling of being scrutinized. "You don't have to worry about that." At least, he didn't think it was a problem. There was no way he was going to assess the damage himself, and the cut had stopped hurting a long time ago. Then again, Gorobei was very good at forgetting things, especially pain ( ... )

Rhyme cleaned off the blood around Komachi's arm. There was quite a lot and blood and it took a while to figure out where the cuts were and the blood was. She finally located the major source of all the bleeding, Komachi's wrist, and squinted to see -- a discoloration or something among the blood.

"Did someone do magic on this?" She had to admit she was ignorant of the lengths and depths of what someone could do with magic, but she closed her eyes to see what she could feel.

It felt a little wrong but she waited until she could get the full sense of it.

A little frown appeared on the brunette's face at Gorobei's reply but she decided not to pester him too much. She had a sinking feeling that this man isn't very fond of magick or of the mana crystals she placed among the floor. Therefore, to ease his nervousness Yuna sat down next to him and tried to start up some idle conversation.

"Magicians, huh? I am actually not a magician but...I am a mage instead." She said to Gorobei with a smile before glancing over at Rhyme and Komachi with a rather worried gaze. "Or rather I was a mage, I guess old habits die hard." Even though she has been training to become a gunner, Yuna still kept her notes and mana crystals from the days when she used to be a summoner.

"Hm?" Her eyebrows arched a bit as she watched Rhyme, wondering secretly what kind of mage this girl is.

Komachi blinked back tears as Rhyme started cleaning her arm - it stung horribly, and Rhyme kept touching the cuts and making them throb painfully.
She shook her head at Rhyme's question, then changed it into a nod, then back again..."I don't know what she did!" Her voice came out shriller than usual, both with fear at the memory of what had happened, and with the effort of keeping herself from just crying.

"'She'?" Maybe if we find out who did this, it'll be easier to find a cure.... "Can you tell us who 'she' was?" He looked at Gorobei as well.

"Yeah, some woman. I'm not really sure; I don't remember it all that well. If I saw the woman again, I'd definitely recognize her, but I doubt that will happen." Gorobei wanted to add "she didn't seem real," but figure he sounded crazy enough without going into any of that ( ... )

A witch?! Well ... the description didn't sound anything like Medusa. Really if the person who'd attacked Komachi was a witch and Medusa was good now, that would probably be the best option.

On the other hand, Rhyme wasn't sure that Medusa was a good witch, yet.

The 'wrong' feeling continued as she tried to wrap her mind and her magic around what was wrong with Komachi's wrist. She tried to close over the wound but that didn't seem to be working.

This might be out of her league.

"A witch?" Her words were a tad bitter for she is rather angry that someone would be brazen enough to attack a child. Yuna could only hope that horrible woman isn't anywhere nearby, if so, she would certainly give this witch a taste of her own medicine for what she did to little Komachi.

"Need help, Rhyme?" Yuna asked as she watched the young healer try to tend to that wound.

"Do you think that witch placed a hex on her?" Judging by the oddity of the situation, Yuna is one-hundred percent sure that the wound upon Komachi's wrist is a curse or some kind for its not healing probably at all.

"I could cast 'esuna' on it..." The brunette mumbled to herself as she recalled a few notes she taken about such magicks.

"Hey." She smiled over at Phoenix once she rose to her feet again. "Fish out another mana crystal from there; I think I have an idea."

Phoenix nodded and immediately reached into the bag, digging through the bandages and salves - funny, he'd expected a woman's purse to have....well, he didn't know what to expect, but this certainly wasn't it - until he found another crystal. "You mean this?" he asked, pulling it out to show her.

As Yuna started talking in what might has well have been a different language, Gorobei became a bit more on edge. He was eyeing every move the strangers made with the utmost suspicion, and once he realized this - gods, he was starting to act like Heihachi - he tried his best too cool down his fear a bit.

"Please, I know it may be difficult, but could you please try to explain exactly what is going on. I want to be able to explain everything in case something happens again once we get back to our own ship."

He wasn't supposed to say that, was he? Pursing his lips together, Gorobei mentally berated himself for letting someone from the Vic, nice guy or not, know that he was a crewman on another ship. But, now that it was gone, there was no bring it back.

Gorobei must have been worn out. He was not only making so many mistakes that he would never make normally, but he was actually running a bit behind in the conversation. Heihachi and Kambei would both be appalled. "Wait, a hex?" That term, Gorobei was familiar with. He was not

Komachi was failing altogether to keep up with the conversation. She knew all these three strangers were only trying to help, but she almost wished they would just go away. All she really wanted to do was to curl back up in Gorobei's lap and go back to sleep.

Biting her lip, she looked nervously at Yuna as the woman rose to her feet. "What're you going to do?"

Rhyme knew a little about magic, she also knew she wasn't the best with magic on the level of esuna. She was studying, of course, but she wanted to defer to someone who knew better.

"Sure, Yuna. You case esuna and then I can work on getting the wrist stitched back together, and on Gorobei's leg."

That sounded like the best idea to her. If that didn't work ... well they'd have to think of something else.

"If you don't succeed, try try again!" That part she whispered under her breath.

Noticing the baffled stares and nearly fearful gaze from both Komachi and Gorobei, the brunette decided to ease their worries by giving them a brief explanation about the spell she was about to cast. The last thing she needed is for the little girl and her guardian to be spooked out because of little bit of 'hocus pocus'. "Well, a hex is just like a curse except it’s not as powerful." Yuna began as she gave Rhyme a brief smile in agreement. She'll cast the magic and the young medic will sow the wound upon Komachi's little wrist with stitches.

"With hexes, they tend to wear off over time, months or so, without the need of a mage or 'magician', as you call them..." The brunette glanced over to Gorobei for a moment. "However, curses are completely different and can only be broken by the witch who first cast that curse. Hexes can be broken by any mage available." With that said Yuna approached Phoenix and thanked him for finding the finding the crystal out of her bag. She took the crystal into her hand and returned to the pair, this ( ... )

"Well? Did it work?" Phoenix couldn't hold himself back from asking, brow creased in concern. He hoped the girl would be all right....!
