Today there was a school performance of Arthur Miller's The Crucible (Häxjakten in Swedish translation) at Malmö Stadsteater, so I tagged along to that. The story is, of course, really unsettling and provoking ( Read more... )

Gregers sounds like an excellent place to visit. Whereabouts is it?

I don't read so much at this time, but it is nice to get book tips anyways. I think I have seen the Somnambulist somewhere.

Did you get white or coloured broderie anglaise? I made lots of black underwear for the Deadlands dress, but I also have a set in white, and a petticoat in light yellow (a sheet on sale). I do have a lot of Victorian stuff and it's fairly interchangeable.

I started watching steamfashion the other day. It is very active, and there are lot's of pretty things. Also, I have been salivating over watches.

I got white b.a., since I'm doing the combinations in white cotton (traditional ones). They didn't have much coloured b.a., anyway. I've done all the buttonholes tonight, while listening to an episode of The Clockwork Cabaret podcast.

I don't even know what Deadlands is. A book? TV series? Film?

Ooh, what an interesting community! Gods, but it seems a bit too active for me. Ten to fifteen posts a day, that's too much for me to keep up with. :\ I'll probably join-but-not-watch it, though. :)

(I'm also afraid I'll get intimidated by all the imagination and skill of those people...)

Also, Steampunk Month over at Tor.com!

The selection and patterns varies, but we can buy white, cream, black, red, and blue broderie anglaise here.

Deadlands is a roleplaying game, basically Wild West with magic, cultists, and mad scientists. It is set in their version of 1876-78.

I've only seen black, baby blue and baby pink broderie anglaise here, and not exactly a very large selection of it. For the rest it's only white or off-white. So if I wanted broderie anglaise in a different colour, I'd probably make the whole thing in white and then dye it, so I could use the trims I liked. (There is quite a lot of cream and black lace available, though.)

Sounds cool!
