Today
pnr came over to show me her pretty gifts from India, and then we made gingerbread cookies. But first we made a couple of more gingerbread cutters, because I didn't really have enough cutters already.
(I sort of collect them. Can you tell?)
The ones I lacked were, of course, these:
The little fellow on the right is the one I made the other day, from a sheep. The K-9 used to be a pig. Here you can see the originals and their new guises:
Not the TARDIS, however, since it always was a TARDIS, its chameleon circuit just disguised it as a coke bottle for a while. (I.e., I didn't have a double of it.)
Anyway, I had made lots and lots and lots of gingerbread dough the evening before (I kind of forgot to check the amounts before I started, so now I have gingerbread dough to last me until summer.) Everyone seems to have their own family recipe of gingerbread dough; this one came from my friend K's great-great-grandmother.
A baking sheet full of newly baked gingerbread cookies, fresh from the oven:
But of course, they needed some decorations, too.
Two Doctors -- we only made two humanoid figures, for some reason, so I could only make two. Here they are. Can you tell which ones? I added two hearts to the second figure, just in case there was any doubt about his species.
Oh noes!
And just as a bonus, a couple of gingerbread icons, snaggable with credit to
therru:
