Gingerbread...Things

Today pnr came over to show me her pretty gifts from India, and then we made gingerbread cookies. But first we made a couple of more gingerbread cutters, because I didn't really have enough cutters already.

I've been making this post and cleaning up the kitchen... and have only now got around to eating my dinner. XD So I haven't really had that many gingerbread cookies...

How do you customise cookie cutters?

So you simply modify ones you already have? Nice! Must go get my hands on some...
And an oven. That would help as well.

Yes, the third picture shows what cutters I used to make the Dalek and the K-9. For the TARDIS I sacrificed a coke bottle shape that I didn't think I really needed to have... :) It helps if the cutters already have shapes that are close to what you want to achieve. Or at least aren't too convoluted already -- you can just get a big, round one and make whatever you like out of it!

Yes, an oven does indeed help a lot when making cookies. I suggest you find someone who has an oven, and then crash their place with dough and cutters at the ready.
