Green Room - Break - Day 2

Dec 23, 2011 11:16

Apparently, I need to come up with another way to rile people up! Hmmm. . . maybe tomorrow. I'm on a time crunch at the moment. I'll leave you to it. I'm sure that, without trying, that someone will manage to say something that gets under someone else's skin! And isn't that what the Holiday Season is all about ( Read more... )

The best reason for vacation is trying to be first in these threads.

And succeeding! Mwahahahaha.

Happy Friday, beautiful peoples. I got to have my first menorah-candle lighting experience last night. Took me over fifty years to get there, but I can now cross that one off my list!

Aw, thanks.

It's been a nice vacation, overall. I love that my fiancee and I both work for schools, so we get two weeks off for winter break at the same time as our kids. Lucky.

And, Hanukkah was fun. I'm not a religious guy, but I love learning other people's traditions and history. Any time someone is engaged with their culture I feel a little disconnected from mine.

*whistles at how empty the green room is. listens to echo*

Hello?

I'd ask how everyone's Christmas Eve eve is, but apparently it's very busy!

Here's to another day at work in which I have nothing to do. Time to do some more catching up on written gifts! At least all my real life gifts are wrapped and under the tree at this point.

Ha... we finally bought some presents, but wrapping is for today, I think. Beats last year by a full day.

We are so WAY ahead of schedule this year that it's almost unnatural! :D Wrapping presents the night before Christmas is usually standard.

I've had years when I finished my wrapping Christmas morning. Usually, it's just the ones going to my grandmother's, but still.

Good morning!

The roads were none too great, but the hubby and I made it up to Cheyenne. It took about two hours longer than normal and I'm fairly certain we were driving on solid ice for about a hundred miles or so, but it will be worth it to spend Christmas with family. Right? *laughs*

do you mind if I ask where you traveled from?

Albuquerque, NM. I was running around in shorts and flip flops the other day. Here in Cheyenne, there's a couple inches of snow and I need my coat. >.< *laughs*

I have a somewhat ugly cold. I also have to work from three thirty until whenever I get exhausted and absolutely can't stand to be there tonight (I work by myself at the shop so no one can really keep me there if I don't want to be there). I still have presents to wrap and a menu to plan but I just don't have the energy for it. On the other hand my SO is being a champ about taking care of me and I've got latkes for lunch, so hurray for that.

Ugh. Sorry that you're sick and I hope you get to feeling better soon. Good on the SO for being such a champ!

For how many people? If it's a small number and not for a fancy dinner, maybe something like soscuisine.com could help? It's saved me a couple of times. :)
