As for ripping cardboard, that's pretty much how the boyfriend acts always, dotted line or scissors or whatever. Maybe your box was made especially for people like him ;)

But I wanted to be a proper by-the-rule-book citizen ;-)! Except there were no rules (a quick existential crisis ensued). Although it can be quite therapeutic to rip open a box sometimes... Safe (for the others) and effective (for oneself).
