There is no spoon, Neo

Sometimes I experience a drastic shift in my perception of reality while doing quite ordinary things. Of course, I could also just say I act very stupid, but what would be the fun in that?

So, it's hot outside. And around me, actually. I have ice cream in the freezer. One of those cheap mini-cones that come in box by the dozen. I take the box out and try to open it. Like a good obedient consumer I search for the little dotted/indented/whatever-the-factory-chose line where you rip the cardboard open. Or the little tongue-like extension of the box that makes it come apart. Ir the drawn line where you're supposed to cut. Or at least those little scissors that indicate what you are supposed to do. And I'm turning the box and checking all the sides, once, twice, thrice ... you get the point. Still nothing. Nilch. Zip. Nada. I want my ice cream! Mommy, the box won't tell me how to open it ... It has no line! Nothing! OMG. Cultural shock and all the values of capitalistic leisure society come crashing down.

Then, as a lost cause I am, I rip the bloody thin cardbord. Yeah.

Hazelnut and vanilla, btw.
