all that is, all that was (and all of it for him) Ten2/Rose, implied Nine/Rose and Ten/Rose, PG
It’s after a particularly trying day and in the middle of a rather fantastic row that Rose yells at him that’s something along the lines of, “You know what I don’t understand?” and he responds with a sarcastic, “What don’t you understand Rose?” which ( Read more... )

This is so frakking sweet. Just... love.

Thank you for making something so painful, that induces me yelling at the silly silly beach scene, so full of win.

As much as it tied up their story in a neat little package and allowed the two of them to grow old together blah blah blah, I think there is a lot of discontent about how the Doctor left Rose behind with his double and this idea had been bouncing around in my unfinished fics pile for a while. I love the idea that everything from Nine's regeneration into Ten up until Rose and Ten2 were left behind were all orchestrated or at least overseen by the Bad Wolf whilst she was in Rose and tweaked to make sure it happened.

...and now I've totally bunnied myself for a second fic based after this one :P goddamnnnnnn

This is happening to me too! I just finished at over three thousand words and my brain goes DAMN GIRL TAKE A NAP.

And then I just HAD to look at the photos again. >_<

But I agree completely... its this nice little bookend that says "See. See Rose. See Rose with the Doctor. Roll credits." but there's so much pain at the end. The one thing I will never get over?

He didn't say good-bye.

It slays me.

LOL. Well at least you're not writing stuff to procrastinate from writing an essay that was due yesterday...right? Cos...I am :P

He didn't say good-bye.

THIS. YES. Although, I think it might have just killed him if he'd ever actually had to say it to her. Just...gah. It's one of those double edged swords isn't it? Because I think it would have helped Rose maybe, you know to hear him say goodbye (like Sarah Jane in School Reunion)? But it would have absolutely destroyed the Doctor to have to say it - just like he couldn't tell her that he loved her. Ah words...they have so much power.

this is lovely, and it fits with my mental version of events too, in that it's not all perfect, there are problems, arguments etc.

and of course it was Bad Wolfs fault, the whole thing.

Of course there are problems :P I can't let them have an entirely happy ending or it'd be too contrived lol. Especially considering the tragedy of the rest of it.

I like to think it was ;)
