I was completely and utterly burnt out on LJ for a while but I've decided to come crawling back. Hey, how's it going?

So what else ya got?

We are going to Niagara Falls in three weeks and have all the important stuff nailed down like hotel reservations, passports, Adventure package etc. We plan on using our Visa cards for everything we can and taking a smallish amount of cash for incidentals. So what else do we need to know?

Please join us for the third annual Hot Dog eat along. Thom and I have the Nathan's hot dogs ready and the TV is tuned to ESPN for the World Hot Dog Eating Competition sponsored by, you guessed it, Nathan's World Famous Hot Dogs. The only difference is we each eat one and they eat dozens. We are such dorks.

I love days off during the week cause I can sleep in. So why did my eyes pop open at 7:30, wide awake and ready to take on the world? So, I'm up and determined to clean house, do laundry, do some shopping and run a dozen errands. No way in hell I could do all that in three days off but at least I've got plans. Right?

We have a very slow draining tub and a dog who loves to splash in the water. He has also learned how to open the bathroom door. No good can come from this.

I've been experimenting with marinades lately and combined with my Jacquard meat tenderizer, they make for a sweet tender meal.

Last night I tenderized a couple chicken breasts and covered them with Teriyaki marinade. After a 30 minute wait I sauted them till golden brown in a bit of olive oil. Then I added sliced green onions and more marinade ( Read more... )
