Dreams and Fandom

I had a Sylar/Mohinder dream last night. WTF? The two of them were in this weird city that was under siege by mutant dinosaurs. Molly was there, hiding under a bench, and Mohinder was out in the street being 'lookout'. But he had powers - no clue what. Sylar kept like...trying to subtly slice his head open. Like he'd lift up his hand to do it ( Read more... )

Completely and totally.

Is Sylar/Mohinder really called 'Mylar'?

You said it all. I'm so on board with that. LOL I run into that all the time and it's really annoying. Ironically I think most of the people ship pairings I don't particularly get into, but it's great writing, they're great people, and I don't care what their kink is ( ... )

Another note, I like my Yuri. Damn it I like Fem slash pairings, and I'm not gay. I read for the dynamics. It's just kind of funny how folks just read into things because of your fanfic preferences. Give me Xena Gabriel, or Tosh Romana, or Talia/Ivoniva any day and I'm a happy camper. LOL I love Slash, Ed/Hei (ok fluff), Doctor/Master (abuse, mind games all sorts of negative crap there), Gris/Nikki/Warrick, I mean threesomes too... LOL I'm a loose WOMAN when it comes to my fics....

I tend to read a LOT of pairings, which is kind of funny I think I'd confuse people if they were to judge my lifestyle based on my fics.

LOL Yuppie, Het, monogamous housewife on PTO and goes to church... WOW, I don't think you could get that from the fics I read can you?

Oh man, I've gotten the 'wtf, you're a lebsian, why do you write het and slash?' thing. Um. Because I like the chemistry between the characters and I like exploring sexual relationships through writing?

I've never understood the whole 'what you write is linked directly to what you're into IRL' thing.

I know. It's kind of crazy if you ask me.

I know I've been told I was a lesbian because I liked writing slash. It was ??? Well yeah I like the character interaction and all that. And as a RPer, I get nailed about it all the time.

Crazy, very crazy people I say. Real life and fantasy are two different things.

How awesome do I find your dream? Sylar as the super slick villain and a cuddly Mohinder... it's crack but good crak. I'm so amused. :D

It was so strange and random. But so...heavily sexual. Because Mohinder's voice was all husky and sexy and shit, and he just like...curled up to Sylar...so weird.

I always like replying to people and seeing as the post is now gone (which is a shame because it was an interesting one albeit sad of course).

I agree with most of what you said about the crime being to do with the mindset of the person for this at least, and a few other things that spring to mind. Not to move to another topic but I find victim blame just so hard to grasp. I remember seeing a few polls on rape a few years back and the amount of women who thought things like if it was a bf/husband it wasn't rape or if you were drunk it made it worse than if you were sober is just stagering without even getting into clothing.

Anyway yes I wanted to basically say I concur.

Yes, I was enjoying the conversation we were having! I am now calling 'troll' on the post, and the troll was disappointed there wasn't more 'lolz furry deserved it', just agreement and well wishes and people trying to clarify legal terms and crime motivation.

I've never understood it either. And as was mentioned in the post, the 'degrees' of blame. I didn't want to get into it in that post but the 'she's not a sex furry, or weird, she just wears a tail' to smack of 'she's not a stripper or dresses sluttily or anything....' when it comes to rape victims. It is never the victim's fault. Never.
