So I saw it. I liked it more than I thought I would.

My random and somewhat shallow observations are under here. )

"Beautiful and terrible as the dawn" sums up the whole movie pretty well, actually.

Most of the movie mutants were too pretty.

Um, not complaining. (I'm too busy fantasizing about Callisto/Psylocke/Kid Omega.)

Kid Omega Quills is worth the fantasies!

He does have an omega symbol tattooed on his neck.

But he has Quills' powers and definitely not Omega's looks. Hard to believe he was based off KO and not Quills.

Besides, everyone has wiggy tattoos in the Morlocks.

Seriously, if any of the X-Men couldn't outwit Juggy there would be smacking involved.

I think Pyro's script was pretty mediocre in this one, but he saved it in one moment - when Magneto's leaving Mystique behind and the look he gives Magneto just seems both incredulous and disgusted. Only happens once, but it's good.

Really? I was too busy having a heart attack to notice! That makes me incredibly happy.

I only caught it on my second viewing (and was all "yes, Aaron Stanford, yes!"). But I think it was one moment that helped flesh out the character.

That look made a lot for me. I had read it in the novelization and they even explore his feelings on it a bit. I may have to look it up and type it up in my journal.
