first let me say that the seller's realtor is a fucking idiot, not only did she send the contract on to the bank without us signing the addendums, but she told us that the bank had already accepted the price and the file had been assigned to someone right away; both untrue. our offer was set to expire Monday, so my realtor called her to see what we ( Read more... )

I guess it could have been worse, though I'm not sure how

Here's how it could have been worse: "she wanted us to agree to any counter offer that the bank made"

Sorry it didn't work out, though. Are you serious about moving back to SF or are you going to try again?

right now we're kinda torn. I'd really like to move back but that would be abandoning any chance of buying a house, at least in the near future. Brent would like to go to SFSU, and I do miss the area, but if there is a chance of buying a house I'd like to try that too. I don't hate it down here, so who knows.

HUGS. I'm sorry to hear that. But I believe 2 things will come of this. First, because of this, karma's going to come and bite this bitch in the ass (and not in a good way). Second, you guys are going to find a house that was way better than this one and be very happy that this fell though. Now this might be a silly question but can you sue to get the $550 refunded?

the $550 was spent on the condo that fell apart, the apprasial and inspection fees are non-refundable, the people said they'd cut us a discount on another apprasial and inspection, but we have to have a place TO appraise and inspect. it's lost money.
