What exactly does a beta do? I have never used a beta. I always figured they just helped out authors who don't know how to spell and punctuate very well. I (sorta) can do those things on my own. Would I/could I benefit from a beta? Could I be a beta? What ( Read more... )

One of the most inconsistent grammatical decisions I see in fanfiction is comma usage. Who has ideas for a fic? Twific plot bunnies. Mine are always rattling their cages, demanding time and clean water that I just don't have to give.
