Quick Baby Update

Had our weekly appointment at the obstitrician's today. Baby to doing okay--today's ultrasound indicated that it's starting to breath now, exercising its lungs in the womb. Andrea, however, has started showing signs of preeclampsia (pregnancy-related high blood pressure), so they ordered up some tests and put her on bed rest. We go back in tomorrow

I swear that I've heard about preeclampsia with everyone I've ever talked to that had a child. Is it pretty common these days?

6-8% of pregancies will develop it. So it's not that common, but not completely uncommon either.
